I was delighted to receive from Alan Briggs a sample of a new laser cut kit for the Senior Series Tomtit. I intend to build it, but in the meantime I thought you would like to see what you get inside the sturdy recycled box.
The first thing to catch the eye are are two sheets of laser cut parts in good quality balsa, which contain all the 1/16 sheet bits you need for the model, including the upper fuselage decking pieces which are not shown on the plan on this site. Very nicely done, and you just have to cut away the joining pieces which hold the parts on the sheets.
The plan is an excellent quality reproduction of the original, printed double sided.
Sufficient strip wood is supplied, together with two blocks for the nose (one of which is shaped on the inside to clear the rubber) plus a pre-bent undercarriage wire. The prop assembly and wheels have to be supplied by the builder, and no tissue is included. I usually throw kit tissue away unless it is Esaki, so no great loss in my opinion.
